Some have said they get good distance out of SB98 but I have not really got that much...yet(?) That said, I think it is a great bat. Swings VERY nice. So for the price it is a great value. The scn5 is better IMO, but just cuz I can drive the ball farther with it.
AVR is ok, but personally I would choose SB98.
As for the Utrip, depends on what fits your swing. That said, the scn4 is one of the most undervalued bat out there. Great stick.

I really did have intentions of trying your sb98. Once game starts, I just get my mind set on what I'm swinging.
