Default Men's Team, Saturdays Staten Island/NYC

After an abrupt end to the fall softball season due to the unfortunate events of Hurricane Sandy, the spring season is finally approaching. Obviously the itch has set in and I personally cannot wait to get back onto the field.

I run a men's team that will be playing on Saturdays this spring, it is a double header league that runs from the beginning of April until the end of June or beginning of July, after that, playoffs will begin, however unlike some leagues, not all teams make the playoffs so it is important for our team to be strong during the entire season. Our team are comprised of a range of ages, but all of us are supportive and mesh very well together personality-wise, with that being said, NO DIVAS PLEASE! We don't really care for egos because no matter how good any one player is, without the team supporting each other, games cannot be won.

Many of our players from past seasons will be returning but we would like to add some fresh faces to the mix. Some of what we are looking for most includes:

A strong defensive outfielder - We currently have three very strong outfielders and are looking for another to add to our roster.

A catcher - Our catcher situation is currently in limbo so as it stands I am looking for someone to be a full time catcher.

A strong bat - we could definitely use another strong batter for the middle of our lineup, even if your defensive skills aren't great or have declined with age or injury, or you can't for whatever reason play a doubleheader in the field, there is still always the EH (extra hitter) role that could allow us to keep an intimidating hitter in the lineup. (A big plus if you're a lefty or switch hitter)

A third pitcher - when I say a third pitcher I don't necessarily mean third in terms of order in the rotation, I mean that we currently have two pitchers on our roster and I am definitely open to adding a third.

A utility player - Someone who offers me the flexibility of putting you in various defensive positions based on whatever needs may pop up during the season. (i.e. someone gets injured, or can't make it a certain week)

This is just what we are specifically looking for, anyone can feel free to send me an email, in your email please include your Name, Phone Number, Age, Experience (what team and leagues you've played for), what position you play, and whether you're right-handed, left-handed, or switch.
