I think Darkside is playing in this as well. They are a B team so I'm assuming it will be open...

Yes but the question is will we have a D/E tourney with 20 teams and a 6 team tourney with the 1 B and 5 C teams or will we have a 20+ team tourney with all classes?

That's the way it should be. It's really the first tourney of the season so it should be open. Even though this weekend's tourney counts for points.

I don't disagree but an NIT is an NIT. Guess what I am getting at is will it be 1 large tourney or will the same 6 teams sit around all day watching the 20+ lower level tourney?

That is not a knock on Mike or anyone playing D and E just curious. This tourney has been one of the best the past couple of years because of the format. It is March after all but moving to Utrip and making it an NIT does change some of the equation. If there is a lower level tourney as well almost noone will play up since that will most likely be a qualifier giving 3+ games.
