Default Huntington League ??

I got a question about this fall league if anyone is familiar with it.

The league rules
-No composite bats (Composite handles ok)
-NSA balls
-ASA umps with Asa rules.

Last week was playing in this league and played the same team for the 3rd or 4th time. The were using a PST120 (Red handle) which is a Utrip bat, I think. I ask the ump if this bat is allowed. Ump seemed very knowledgeable and seemed to know most of his rules. But I asked him about the PST120 and stated the league allows all PST bats.
Is this true?
The coach of the team had no idea about what rules are what.

These Bat fit the Rules according to what you posted. It didn't say no USSSA BAts... But Pretty Sure that is a 2005 PST Which is a two piece with an Alloy Barrel...

PST's are not composite, so if that's the only ruling, then it's ok to use.

I play in the huntington FD league, and it's by the ASA bat list, so that red PST is out.

Was playing at Mill Dam park. Is that the same league? I am not sure of all the rules. I would figure when you use the ASA umps you would by default use a ASA bat list. And then modify rules from there.

Leagues modify rules any way they want. Huntington FD and Huntington Softball Comission, are two different leagues run by different people.

Huntington FD uses USSSA umps, but ASA bats.

And ASA height on pitches. Just a mish-mosh of different rules.

At least it's not a mat and plate, which I heard is now going to be worse next year. Mat is going to be bigger.

Forgot to mention.... If the ball hits the plate it is considered a strike. And the team that wins the coin toss has the option of choosing to start with a 0-0 or 1-1 count.

That's better not worse .. we were asking for a bigger Mat, because the current mat is unfair to pitchers.

I hear there is still going to be deep discussion cause there is a faction that wants to eliminate the mat altogether.

Overall, i don't have too much of a problem with the mat. It's the plate part that is the killer. Just so glad rick doesn't go along with that crap on Sunday mornings.
