Default 2 Miken Bats - Identical but ASA Vs USSSA. How???

Could someone please have a look at the two bats in the links below and explain the physical differences (apart from color) between them. One is ASA, the other USSSA. The descripions are exactly the same. Will they play different? Maybe I'm asking an impossible question to answer or one with an obvious answer?? Many thanks for your time folks.

What balls are you hitting; and what rules are you playing under?

The later will likely determine what bat you can use.

The USSSA will perform better. I am not sure how they do it but going back to my PST days they tune the Utrip bat different than the ASA. They tune down and balance the ASA bat to meet ASA specs.

This is not necessarily true since ASA changed the way they test and certify bats a couple of years ago. Now some ASA bats are hotter than USSSA bats. What I don't understand is why USSSA bats aren't legal in ASA under the new ASA standards.

I think all things being equal like as in this case the USSSA will outperform the ASA. Worth did this same thing back when they came out with the Search&Destroy models. In this case the bats had identical looking barrels and the only visible difference was the color of the handle which I image drove umps crazy as you really had to look close at the bats to tell the difference. Performance wise the ASA version couldn't stay with the USSSA version with the different tuning of the barrel.

Certainly USSSA is better . You will have better performance with it . Most of Mıken's products are great actually .
