I am new to Softballforumz. My boyfriend and I play slow pitch softball, and I really want to get us a lesson from a professional slow pitch player. Any ideas or suggestions on how to go about this?? We live in Nashville, TN. Thanks!

Pay for my airfare and hotel and I'll show you how to throw a knuckleball that makes men cry...

Hahaha, thanks! I was really wanting hitting lessons. I'm not brave enough to pitch and let grown men hit back at me. I'm an outfielder!

Get hooked up with a good team. Do you really need a professional to teach you? You should be able to get the fundamentals down with practice & games. Aside from pitching the fundamentals are basically the same as baseball & fastpitch sb. Get a friend who knows how to play & get them to work with you.

Playing rec league coed & paying a pro to teach you is like having marble tile in a double wide trailer. Just not a good investment for the end payoff.

I had a hitting lessons owner ask me if I could teach slow pitch lessons for him. He had a few inquiries so its not unheard of. Ive seen many pitchers who could use alotta help too lol

Again, I'm available for travel fees and a small hourly wage...pitching, hitting, proper eye black application, how to wear a wrist band the right way, when arm sleeves should be used, selcting the proper bat weight, the right glove, the proper way to grunt when hitting the ball, how to intimidate people with just a stare (or my favorite, a wink) and other useful softball information...

I didn't really explain it, but I am wanting a lesson from a professional as a birthday gift to my boyfriend. He is REALLY into following the slow pitch pros, as well as watching youtube videos for tips. While we both know how to play, it would be a really great surprise for him. It would totally be worth the money for the experience he will get to enjoy. I just don't know how to find a professional slow pitch player that does/would be willing to give lessons.
