Default Trying to buy my first bat..

This is prob a really stupid question, sorry

I've just started playing softball for around 2 months now, I'm looking into buying a bat and i seen in another thread someone recommended the SBMBJ worth mayhem bj fulk

I'm female and have been using a worth mayhem 28oz that belongs to the club but i hit at the handle alot, i recently have tried to fix my timing and hit alot better, but i think a 26/27 would be better for me?

I found a few of these bats used on ebay but most say..

"These bats are for Homerun Derbys and and Outlaw Leagues only"

What does this mean??

thanks

It probably means they are shaved or have been altered to make them hit further but I don't know for sure. That's just my guess.

Check out the site sponsors for the bats that you're interested in. Worth SlowPitch Softball Bats Miken Combat Softball Bat Reviews Kellys Ultimate Sports has some good deals goin on right now.

Unless your a beast of a female go 26oz. My wife swings my old 26oz worth 454 balanced & does awesome. Shes 5' 7" 130 for reference.

Check these bats out: Easton sp12st100, worth 454 balanced 2012 & 2013, worth BJ fulk, & miken rev ex 750 balanced.

Derby bats are shaved (inside material taken out) & will make you hit farther. However they are illegal unless your in an outlaw league & they won't pass a compression test if it gets tested.

Just get a FP bat...they are cheaper, shorter and just as good but lighter and will help you with bat speed...

And Mike Kelly is a good guy with good prices...

33/23 or 33/24 would probably help a lot and like jimmy said, cheaper
