Default In need of advice on bat brand & weight

I play in a recreational ASA league, the bat must be single wall, I'm age 61, 5'6" & 160 lbs. I've been using a team bat, a Demarini Ultimate Weapon in 28 oz., hitting mostly line drive singles and mostly up the middle, definitely not hitting for power.

I would like to purchase a better bat and I'm thinking I would do better to swing a 26 oz. to increase my bat speed, maybe add some power and distance.

I was looking online at a Combat Dirty Reload G3 (actually a 26.5 oz.) slightly end loaded model at $199, but I know very little about bats and am open to alternatives. I would like to keep my cost to around $200 max.

Any feedback regarding my idea about swinging a lighter bat, and any recommendations?

Thanks.

That bat isnt a single wall. Its composite.

Demarini steel line is what you want.

Thanks for pointing out the Combat not being legal in our league.

Will check out the Demarini Steel.

Metal bat........ I would find you an Anderson.
Or
If you are hitting ok, just get a lighter ultimate weapone.
Whatever you do....please dont waste money on a Bruiser.

Unfortunately, the Demarini steel line was discontinued in June (or earlier). You can find a few around, but not many.
