Default hey guys new here, quick question

Hey Guys, I am from Chicago so I grew up playing 16 inch, and I have a walk up batting stance (start at the back of the box, take one step up with my back foot then swing) and I just moved out to SE Iowa, now that I'm getting into 12 inch is there any advantage to using this type of swing or should I switch to a more conventional stance?

haha I've gotten it down where I don't fall, sometimes I do mis step, but I think it definitely gave me more power in the 16 inch, just not too sure about 12 inch. I'll just have to play and hope I don't get too many silly looks

Walking the box is not uncommon. You shouldn't get too many odd looks.

Yeah, walking the box is not uncommon. It has advantages and disadvantages. In general, I belive it works better in ASA than USSSA. In USSSA, it is easier to throw off the timing of a batter who walks the box. I like to just catch the high inside part of the strike zone with as much arc as I can get away with, then hum one low and flat at the outside corner.

This x2^^^^ depends on which league. Lower pitches come in fast. Higher pitching you get a lil time to step.
