Default What leagues still paly at John Burns park in Masspaequ?

I live real close and used to play there with wesco. A lot of the guys from one of my teams are near by and we were wondering which leagues still play there. Preferably weeknights. If anyone could shed some light on this topic I would appreciate it. Thanks

They stopped 2 years ago. We had a night with a high north wind and like 6 balls landed on Merrick road. A couple hit cars supposedly. So we were told after that they no longer were allowed to use the field. I have seen people play there but havent seen on their schedule.

That field is no way ready for playing, and if they do bring softball back, they need to put another 50 feet of netting above the fence.

Wow, John Burns park. That name is a blast from the past, I used to play pee-wee football and lacrosse there.

Yup, the football and soccer fields are now turf, they started on the softball field in November. It might be ready in time for May but can't see it happening at the pace they are going at.
