Default The types of guys that make managing a team a pain!

This stems from the management thread. I'll start with two:

1. You got "I don't play to pay" guy.

2. "Minute man" guy who shows up at 8:28 for a 8:30 game.

Drunk during the game guys...

I'm not talking about the guy that has a beer or two before the game. I'm talking drunk here.

I got one guy who is a great guy but is never, ever, ever f'ing early. He always shows up no earlier than 5 minutes before game time, sometimes a minute before. He's never late. But never early. I explain to everyone I need to turn a line up card in ten minutes before game time but I just can't get this one guy to be on time. I can't put his name down until I know for sure he's going to be there, it's a pain.

On my one coed team, I have this one girl who is a nutjob. I won't go into the cooky crap this nut has done, but I will say it's a crapshoot if she'll show or not. She was a noshow twice this season and then this weekend just bolted in the middle of the playoffs leaving us hanging yet again. She's the best girl on the team but just too much hassle, she will never play for me again.

Intentional solo hr guy.
Always has an excuse guy.
Throws my bat in frustration guy.
Too good to coach bases guy.
Takes extra bases when its not there guy.
Acts like he is smart when throw is off and would have been dead-to-rights guy.
Always trying to throw a guy out and letting others move up guy.

"Acts like he is smart when throw is off and would have been dead-to-rights guy."

Used to play with a guy who often stretched a single into a double when it looked like there was no way he'd make it. In probably 400 games, I don't think I ever saw him get thrown out on a play like that. Throw would be off every time. But he didn't act like he was smart, he really was. He was not really all that fast, but he was sneaky fast.

lol I admit to being this guy Friday night...

But then again we were down by like 25 runs, I did have back up which I didn't know about and it was a poor attempt at a sliding catch.

Got a good laugh out of everyone!
