Someone needs to explain to me exactly what rolling a bat means. Seems something like putting it in a vice and squeezing it for faster break in. Is that pretty close?

i didn't vote...but i really don't think rolling is as bad as painting or shaving...i personally have never rolled a bat or knowingly hit one, but it would be a good experiment between rolling vs. BP cuts to see if one actually enhanced the bat more than the other?!

It was not too long ago that people who had bats rolled and viced were pretty adamant about how much better they were over stock bats. Now they just say that it hits no better than a broken in bat and that it just takes the BP/break in period away. I think that in itself says enough....

Rolling is not cheating, and much better than breaking it in.

Wow only 4 of us think it's not cheating. I'm shocked.

Then why did Utrip amend their altered bat policy to include rolling?
