No I didn't hit one out.

At the CT E states today I was watching Bradway and another team play. Some guy comes up to bat and hits a hard liner toward left. The ball hit a bird in mid air and it came down in the 5-6 hole.

The bird might have lived if some dick head didn't kick it to foul territory. Bad karma; the guy's team who killed the wounded bird ended up getting knocked out of the tournament.

Never seen anything like that and probably never will again.

I did that last year during leagues, hit a ball that looked liked it was going out until it hit a bird in mid air. It landed about 5 feet short of the warning track. DOA.

For the record, about the bird incident on saturday. According to my SS and 3B the birds head was flopping backwards onto its back as in something broken and it was bleeding from its eyes and mouth. It sucked but there was nothing to do about it.

i believe the SS put the bird out of misery...the funny part was the ump running to the bat to see if it was legal...LOL

No idea the bird was on it's last legs, I rescind my "dick head" remark.
