I played. We(Mtn Dairy) finished 3rd.

Yes, ASA is down but not out.
U-trip is definitely the association that Teams prefer.

Personally, I can't say I prefer one over the other. Ball is ball.

We (Freaks) played in the Stratford sectional this weekend. We finished 3rd and when I left Helwigs and Knapps Landing were playing in the final with Knapps needing the double dip.

I definitely think ASA is under the radar these days. Not only are there fewer qualifying tournaments, there is not as much information out there. With the Utrip web-site you can see who is out there and what is going on so it keeps people interested in between tournaments. Personally I like the ASA game better. I have played in three ASA tournaments so far this year and never really felt like our pitcher was putting his life on the line in any of them.

I played this weekend in N.B. ASA is down in teams but the games were as good as any I have played or seen this year. The diamond flyer ball does not travel well so it was more like softball used to be played. I also only heard a couple bats all weekend that sounded possibly fishy and the umpires pulled one of them immediately. It was great softball.

Our team would have loved to play but from what I understand, it's basically a state tourney where league teams move on to the next level. You can't just enter the tourney with your tourney team...right?

We played in ASA sectionals in North Branford. We got a tough draw in first game playing PTC .We played well the whole game leading 8-4 going into the bottom of sventh, they tied it 8 -8 and beat us 9-8 in 8 innings. One of the toughest losses i've been a part of.Then we lost to Total Fence the same night with nothing left after tough loss..Ptc finished 2nd .Total fence finished 6th.
