Default Hitting oppo

I start in the back corner of the box, take a small slide step in toward the plate and plant my back leg toward the outside of the box to turn my body so I'm still hitting the ball out in front of me, although I am hitting it deep in the zone.

I really don't change anything but going oppo is very natural for me.

I don't change my stride or swing just swing later and try to hit the ball further back in the zone.

I feel like I get better power when I turn because I am still hitting the ball in front of my body...I'm just redirecting it.

Middle to outside pitches I just close my stance with my stride then knock the pee out of it. Inside pitches and trying to go oppo is a little harder but I open with my stride and really lag the bat through the zone and slice the shit out of the ball.

It's funny, I'm sure I'm a minority in this, but... I always had trouble pulling the ball with any authority. I've been told it's because I either get my hips open way too late, or I don't get my hips involved at all. 98% of my hits either go to center or RC. It's only until recently that I've really tried to focus on pulling in BP. It's definitely a work in progress.

As for the original question, I just swing later.

When I first started (20-21ish) all I would do is pull the ball. Had plenty of power so had Hr's and all that good stuff. Well started playing tournament ball and started in E so there was no HR's. Everthing was CF to the RF line from then on out. Well finally get to C and HR's are allowed but I can't pull the ball up in the air for shit with out it being a mile high and easily caught. Hr's now come CF or RC.
