As much as I hate this ball, from a safety and sensibility view, it might make sense to use these ball. We played ASA 35 this weekend and balls were not going 450 ft.

Even Creature had to mash it to get it out.

We used this ball this past weekend at the ASA States. What a POS these are. Game scores were 4-1, 12-2, 5-3, and the championship games were 4-2 and 5-4. That's not softball if you ask me.

I also used it this past weekend and we scored at least 19 every game - only 1 of the games we hit max HRs (4)

I have no problem with it - you have to play good softball (hit the ball on the ground, run, field - you know old time softball ([email protected] Shot reference)

I played metal bats only in Ridgefield this weekend with similar results. No pitcher's life was in danger. SS's could take more than one step to get to a ball before it whizzed by him. Lower scores but talented hitters still hit.

My tourney we use SB12's and believe me when I tell you it can make a HUGE difference...on one of the fields it's tough to hit those balls out and the only ones who did were the ones who should...

SB12 cork balls and 98mph bats are the best...

If you use ASA bats and shit balls then you're basically just giving up on policing the bats and saying "go ahead and swing whatever you want" and you're penalizing people who don't get their bats done. That was my point when people's answer to the ultra was to lower the ball compression back then. Basically you're telling people in order to combat the hot bat issue (whether legal or altered), we're just going to encourage everybody to get the same hot bats. If that's the case, let me go and buy a rolling machine ASAP so I can cash in on the tidal wave of new business.
