What do you guys think?

Wrestled with this one for years and there is no standard. It depends on the guys and if you can find the right sponsor. I've always had one night the drinking night (usually thursdays). The other night everyone pitched in. Then you got the cheap ass on the team who thinks hes so good he shouldnt have to pay so then you usually end up getting f****d.

One of my league teams got a sponsor this year -- a local restaurant -- because our manager was sick of having to hound everyone to pay their fees. On one hand it's cool, cuz obviously no money came outta my pocket to play ball. But, on the other, we're now obligated to go eat at this restaurant after every game now. This team was never the sort to go hang out after games... so it was kind of a hassle to try and round up a group to go. But it's cool now, and the food's pretty decent, plus we get a huge discount.

All our teams are sponsored, basically because i'm friends with guys who have construction companies. They pony up the money everytime, I deliver the trophy.

I have 4 kids and wife. The guys try to throw excuses at me all the time but can never measure up to why I am able to make the bar one night a week and they cant. The best is the I'm broke line. Then go in and have a coke. Its just the body that counts more than anything.

And besides all that I personally would never let a friend go without a beer because he didnt have the money.

yes we have sponsors for both my league teams. Though it's around $400 for the season plus jerseys.....I'd rather have someone else pay for it. Helps me justify it to my wife.

They must charge you more cuz you don't have time limits.

Played co-ed playoff tonight at a park with no lights cuz the local residents voted against it cuz they didn't want to see them. So, due to rainouts we are a few weeks late in ending. A little over halfway through our game (the second of the night), the light, or lack thereof made it particularily dangerous for the defense. Championship is next week after one more round so it will be equally dark. Kind of fun...well, at least since I am in the outfield.
