Default Do you believe?

Every guy on your team has had 4 hits in a game I would think, so do you beleive if every guy on your team gets 4 hits in a game you could compete at any level?

Let's leave the Major level out but anything less?

Not 100% of the time...but I see your point. I believe that no matter how you hit the ball, if you play defense like a bunch of friggin trash cans, you're not going to win no matter what.

But if you play even decent D, and consistently have 7-8 out of 10 guys that go 3-4, then you're on your way...

Well put it this way...taking out of the equation "big hits" and well timed homers and making those just average out, how many hits per game does it take to win at the B level? C? D?

It's not that simple. I just went down to Florida and watched the A world series a couple weekends ago. Getting 3 or 4 hits on that level is not the same as getting 3 or 4 hits at the B, C, or D level. Every team has an amazing pitcher, every team plays 5 man, and they use a .40 cor ball. In the many games I watched, I saw maybe 7-8 line drives or ground balls get through the infield. Its not as simple as hitting the ball "down and hard" like it is here, because their defense is awesome. If you don't hit a homerun (with a .40 cor ball), or hit a missile in the gap, you are pretty much out.

And the same is true all the way down the line. The higher level you play, the harder it is to get a hit.
