gotta card Max?

Any of your Dad's play?

Mine did and the family went to the field to watch. It was very competitive ball, but at the same time, everyone was expected to conduct themselves with some CLASS, and that meant, throwing around F-bombs because little baby superstar popped out, was completely unaccapetable.

Why should it be different today?

Raise the bar a little. Play HARD, run the bases, don't CRY and call for retaliation when the ball comes back at the pitcher. Don't go middle in the wrong situations, don't go at pitchers because you don't like what you see on the field, and control your damn temper when you display your lack of skill.

A crybaby is a crybaby. Freedom of speech or not. If you suck TAKE IT LIKE A MAN.

It's part of everyday speech, cursing has somehow filtered into everyday conversation. Women can take it, they use it too. It's a shame that being a good family man and having your kids around and by accident or not the words just fly out. But that can happen anywhere, in grocery market at Yankee stadium and even on the road when driving. So fuck it , but let my kid say it and beatings will happen.

I don't want to go on a rant, but it's no wonder kids don't have respect of elders anymore. They see adults cursing at each other, parents beating up on each other at the kid's games, it's just sick. Hey, i'll be the first to admit i had a bad mouth. I was told by a parent once at a league game to "watch my mouth" because there were kids around and they didn't need to hear that. It was at that moment i realized that it was wrong and i apoligized. If there are fathers out there that disagree, i'd really like to hear why.
