Default Co-Ed Priority Positions

With a typical co-ed slow pitch team, what field positions do you feel should have your strongest players, considering an average group of opponents. Obviously that may be dependent on your particular opponent.

I have always felt that having a strong SS and 1B to be a priority, with the next being a strong CF.

In Co Ed the catcher and second base are the two weekest position players. Sometime RF but I think that's a bad idea unless the team can't go opp. Everyone else should play where there stenghts lye. Its good to have good utility players also.

Definitely a good question. Basically you want to put your weakest girls at the least important positions. 2nd & catcher you can get by with bad players. For the most part right field. I also have a somewhat weak girl at third sometimes beacuse she'll only get 4 or 5 plays there the whole ame anyway.

Definitely put strong people at 1st, SS and pitcher. And of course you want people who can catch fly balls at least at LF, LC & RC. The key is having a strong outfield

My main coed team this year will have two of my injured girls returning including one who is an outstanding pitcher, meaning I don't have to give up another defensive position to a girl. So I will have all five girls in the infield most of the time with my best guy at SS. I have 4 strong outfielders so defenisvely, we're pretty good.

It depends on your pitcher and the opposing hitters. In rec-ball, stack the left side and pitch inside. Also, make sure the player in RC has wheels. If you are playing competitive ball, weak players WILL be exploited.
