Default Changing pitchers every time the line up turns over.

On our team we have two pitchers. One throws with the palm facing up and the other throws with the palm facing down. I was wondering if alternating the pitchers every time our opponents turn over their line up would offer any benefits? Assuming it's allowed.

My thinking is that constantly swapping the pitcher may stop the hitters from getting used to seeing the same style of release and the same pitches every at bat. Any thoughts?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

If 1 pitcher is doing well, I would definitely leave him in. If not, then switching may help. I would change pitchers primarily on an as needed basis.

That would become a problem with time limit games and I think it would confuse the defensive team more than the offensive team.

On my team we carry three pitchers. Two of use pitch every other inning. Third pitches inning number 7 and starts the next game. It works cause each of use have one pitch we throw well.
