Default Any ASA 'D' results?

Semifinals of winners bracket were:

Team Hype vs Beamers
Taconic vs Mountain Dairy

I played on Mountain Dairy and we were beat by Taconic, then we beat Nunzios? pizza, and I had to leave as we played VP electric...

Any further updates?

Westchester beat you guys Dan and Beamers beat Taconic. When I left, Taconic was going to be playing Westchester in the losers bracket finals and Beamers was waiting for the winner.

Dan,

We just ran out of gas. Ran ourselves out of a few innings.
Bad calls by the Blues, against us. Imagine that?

Take nothing away from VP, they just beat us.

When I left Taconic was losing to Beamers.

I don't know if the umpiring is getting worse or it was just amplified because there were so many close games but the display this past weekend was atrocious. Not just on out/safe and balls/strikes but on interpretation and understanding of simple rules.

It didn't end up hurting us but the botched 'infield fly' call really pissed me off...There were guys on 1st and 2nd with one out. A ball was hit about 10 feet high and landed between the pitcher and catcher. Neither ump called anything and both runners took off. The ball spun right back to the catcher and he threw the runner out at third. After calling the guy at 3rd out he pauses for about 3 seconds and says "infield fly." Then after a consultation with the 2nd base ump (who almost got killed on the play before when a guy hit a double to right and as the throw came in he was standing about 3 feet from second and looking towards home) they decide that it was an out for the infield fly rule and the runners could remain at 2nd and 3rd. They claim that the guy at 3rd was safe because we never tagged him even though he had called him out on the initial force.

He claims he did in fact yell 'infield fly' even though our team, the other team, and all of wright's plumbing who was watching from the bleachers didn't hear him...completely incompetent!

That was one of about four calls that were debated for 10-15 minutes.

Some umpires up there have been horrible I agree but there are a few that have been very good. If its an infield fly rule they can advance at will as long as the balls not caught, right?

Dave, even if the ball is caught you advance at your own risk. You have to tag just like a fly ball to the OF.

Saw Vick tag and score from 3rd on an IF a few years ago.
