Default 44/375 Dudleys

Playing in a small late starting league. The rules state that we have to hit 44/375 Dudley's. That leads me to wondering which is better. The Thunder Heats or the Thunder Advanced? Is there another, or better option that will fit the criteria?

I like the Evils. If the ball doesn't have to be an association ball then the Evil Micro-cells are the best. They are banned in ASA but I think they are legal in all other assoc.

I like Evils too, but they are not allowed in the league for some reason.

I came across some composite TH's. Is this the same as the Advanced or is it just the cover? And is the composite cover better than leather?

IMO the Leather is a better performer. That is why they cost more.

That's what I thought as well, but I also heard that the composite isn't as prone to water as leather. Not sure how true this is.

That is right. How many games do you play in the rain. We play all off our games in the morning and a lot of mornings there is wet grass which dries pretty quick in the sun with no effect on the ball.

IMO the performance of the ball far outweighs the few times a year where you are playing in wet conditions.

Thunder Advance are probably not legal for ASA. At least our local league banned them even when we were using .44/375s. If the Evils are not allowed, the TAs won't be either.

Synthetic covers tend to be slick, while leather stays tacky and easier to grip. Leather is sometimes more susceptible to scuffs and tears, but I'll take leather over synthetic every time - unless I'm buying for practice only.

Its just a weird league. They don't care what Dudley you use, as long as it's a Dudley 44/375.
We will be playing on Friday nights, double headers. I'm expecting the grass to be wet with dew by the end of the second game each night. Therefore my curiosity in the composite cover.

This....synthetic are perfect BP balls.....I hate fielding them.
