When doing squats do more volume or time under tension and less trying to get heavy weight up. Most peoples form sucks and all they do is put unwanted tension on their bodies. Use lighter weight pause in the bottom and then drive. I workout at home and squats are my main leg exercise. I don't go heavy a lot anymore because of the recovery time and the sports I play.
